Looks to me like a site that is dangerously close to being a fanatic site that is imposing their will on the masses. I prefer to keep those decisions to the riders who are ultimately repsonsible for their own safety and comfort.

I do not see where they are imposing anything on anyone. Fanatical, maybe. So what?

It can truthfully be said that people on this web forum are fanatical about their FJRs. And we aren't imposing anything on anyone either

Imposing their will on the masses!?!? WOW! Could someone be a little overly sensitive about hearing or seeing people who support the use of personal protective gear. I just clicked on the link and simply saw a website that supports the use of personal protective riding gear which, for those like most members here who CHOOSE to use it, is a good thing. After all, the statistics are overwhelming that they tend to fair better in a motorcycle crash than those involved in similar crashes who CHOOSE not to use it.

Thanks for the heads-up Cdogman

Anything that helps get people to wear gear is great. Keep in mind, wearing a helmet or being forced to wear protective gear is a social issue. What I mean is many of these "live free or die" types don't have insurance so if they go down, you and I pay, if they become disabled, YOU AND I PAY.

Plus, who wants to have nasty scars or be a veg for the rest of their life.

don't buy into the freedom of choice issue. ATGATT,

No Problemo..

Seems we have a RIOT against discussing gear.. Seems anyway huh SouthernCruizer

Funny, I think someone os offended at my merely posting about it.

I dont preach about gear.. But I dont accept being preached to about preaching about gear, esp when I am not..

I will tell you I rarely ride with someone who does not wear gear. To me it means they dont take the risks seriously enough and are a danger to me and those around them.. <<<< There now I am preaching :assassin:

I think everyone should have the right to decide if they want to wear protective gear, wear a seat belt in their cages, etc.

The problem is that I'd also like to maintain my freedom not to have to pay for the medical and emergency service care of the dumb ***** that opt to exercise those rights. But alas... the days of that particular freedom are long gone.

I do hail from the Live Free or Die state (and I'm damn proud of it).

Since you apparently don't mind government imposition, why not just imposed mandatory bodily injury insurance on everyone who rides... say, with $1 million limits. You won't like the premiums, but that should solve the "problem."

For the record, I'm pro choice but choose MOTGMOTT (Most Of The Gear Most Of The Time).

That web site is not the government.

Big sky.... MOTGMOTT.. Cool, but it does not roll off the tounge as well at ATGATT..

It is like the word Duck.. What a stupid word.. "Duck" Who thought that **** up. I mean seriously..

Hey, Big Sky.. I support your choice.. Just as I support my choice to go ATGATT and post sights that promote ATGATT... Cuz that is my choice..

If you look at the sight you will find it is run by a gal who went down.. and is scarred for life.. and is a pretty damm smart business woman based on the "Viral" nature of her sights growth.. We even have you and "Southern Cruiser" talking about it. LOL The government cannot pull that off.. so its gotta be free enterprise..

LOL take a pill and chill. Thanks for setting me straight. I seem to remember that we had this conversation back in the mid 70's, but since then I've travelled hundreds of thousands of miles and ridden practically every day of my life since then (as I do now as a BIKER, not a weekend warrior), so I may be mistaken. Oh wait, maybe not, the internet was not around back then LOL

P.s. the RIOT thingie comes from the web site you promoted. Click the PROPOGANDA link ;) smoooooch!!

Hey Fred, the Founding Fathers that came up with that motto didn't ride bikes, they had something else in mind - Lol! :)

I do get your point although, I stick by my statement too.

Good discussion.
