Well, he should have stopped for help when she first showed symptoms. Once she died I guess it didn't really matter how far he drove with her. It can be very expensive to have a body transported.

 
Very unfortunate. Why he wanted to get back to BC and not just go to any emergency room is rather strange, but... Maybe he thinks our health care sucks? :unsure: :blink:

Reminds me of the recent article where the guitar player for the band Gwar was found dead on a tour bus.

As they were crossing the Canadian border, IIRC.

"Do you have anything to declare?"

"Uhhhh....."

What if she knew she was going to die and had elected to not obtain medical treatment? I'm repeatedly surprised and pleased to see the number of people out there with advanced directives. Not everybody should seek help. I do feel bad for the guy though. If she had advanced directives set in place, I understand his desire to head home instead of calling 911.
