For you Throttlemeister user's out there, I'm curious if you prefer Standard or Heavy and why??

Thanks for the information and let the dog pile begin from the Non-Throttlemeister guys........ :D

I went with heavies in the black and silver milled finish (which look fantastic on the bike!). There's only a couple of ounces separating the standard and heavy sizes (according to the folks at Throttlemeister), so why not get that extra bit of vibration damping by going with the heavier set? (Matter of fact, it was their recommendation that I go with the heavies.) Installed, the added weight certainly doesn't noticeably affect the bike's handling/steering in any way.

Expectation management notice: the Throttlemeister works as advertised (providing that you've adjusted the throttle side correctly at install), but as with all friction/mechanical "cruise controls" regardless of price, they're really only useful on smooth, flat roadways. We do not, fortunately, have many of those roads here west of the Cascades, so I engage the Throttlemester only periodically to give my hand and wrist a rest on longer rides and only when road conditions are conducive to its use (which means for about 5 - 10 minutes at a stretch).

I have the 'standards'. I was mostly interested in the throttle control part of the equation and thought the standards looked nicer.

I have the heavy set and grip puppies on mine: I've never experienced any vibration in the bars.

I'm with ML the heavy milled, looks great on the bike, and I figured that you probably lost a couple of ounces with the milling. As far as any differance in vibs, the two that made the most were puppies and and good pair of gel palm gloves. Stan

Looks like most of you, that have replied to this point, like the Heavy ends.

Thank you for the responses and keep them coming.... :clapping:

I like the heavier models. Had them on my ST4s, polished, and they were sweet. Went to see T.M. guys at the Dells rally this Sat and they were packed up? Oh well, ...their products are worth the wait and $$. my .02 cents

I've got the heavy and grip puppies. Living in AZ its flat flat flat so work great. As far as weight, I never had the standard to compare them.

Can't decide on the standard or polished finish....still thinking on that one.

I have the grip puppies ready to be installed. Need to get TM first.

Thanks for your replies... :)

The long ones look like crap IMO. I have the regular ones, and even those are a little long for my tastes. They were the regular ones, but I polished them to a mirror finish, and have no problem engaging them at all, even with my large hands, so no need to order the heavy ones just for that. As far as vibes, I doubt the heavier ones make a difference. The regular ones are much heavier than the stock ones, so that's enough in my book. Order the ones you like. Good luck.
