Ticking '05 18k miles?????

I recently purchased an '05 2 months ago with just over 14k miles on it I am now up closer to 18k on it now. When it's hot (after the ride) it sounds similar to my Toyota 22r thats wore out lifter tick. I don't know if just started or as I ride the bike more I am paying more attention to the noises she makes. I went to the new guy pages (what a wealth of info, thank you to all who set up) went to the differant clickys that are there so that I could here what it sounds like, I couldn't get the links to come up. Am I doing something wrong or another place to look?? And am I out of warranty or is Yamaha still fixin?

You are in luck. Mama Yamaha is stepping up to the plate on the tickers and appears to be fixing them in or out of warranty. Get it fixed over the winter and then ride on! :yahoo:

Thank you for the link it worked great. Mine does not sound like that thank God! at least it's not nearly that loud. Does the noise happen all at once? Or does it start out quiet and get progressivly louder?
