Hi,

I live in Tucson - lots of tar snakes & such. Anyways - need to replace my tires soon - I have Metzlers - ok but I am told there is a lot better out there. I am thinking about the Storms - but do not know how they are in the Southwest. I am more of a touring rider then a sport rider - plus a solo rider - if that makes a difference. I only ride about 900 miles or so a month. We do have a long 2 wheel trip planned in July - going to MotoGP - my first !!

So - any help would be great.

Thanks,

Diane

Maybe SkooterG will chime in. He lives in your neighborhood and has put many, many miles on his FJR. It seems that tire performance varries greatly according to region and road surface, so I will offer no opinions since I live in a galaxy far, far, away.

I haven't tried the Storms, but the older Avon's held up quite well. You could also go with the Pilot Roads. They've done a good job for me.

I am not happy with the Storm performance on the painted lines or tar snakes...

YMMV though, let me know if you find them to be stickier.
