Top Tier Gasolines

I saw something in Car & Driver about it, then visited website. I don't think I'll be changing my gas buying habits, but its something to ponder if your having fuel related issues.

I saw that too and went to the site. Pretty good information, and hopefully, more of the gasoline retailers will certify their product.

Too bad it's a partial industry standard by four automakers and not a standard promoted through an official body. You can bet competing manufacturers are going to come up with Y competing standard and claim theirs is better.

Then we'll have forums back and forth of which is better. Then we'll have forums competing which gas standard works best with which oil, side conversations about octane X from Y is better than octane A from B, and that company delta that doesn't subscribe to either standard is better than all of them.
