Just got my first FARKLES. Done the search, can find lots of references to the sliders and ends but nothing that states a torque value. If someone would provide thos values I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Sliders.

I didn't see the question about the bar ends. I don't know what that figure is. I always just tightened those till the were good and snug.

35 ft-lbs is correct.

 doh, was looking for frame slider torque. No wonder the search didn't pick it up should of done the engine bolts.

Thanks a bunch. Heading out right now to put them on.

Thanks again for the help. 20 mins all four items were installed. All with locktite. Stock bar ends were barely on there.

Here is to hopin I never have to use them.

Ride safe.

Since we're on torque topics.....what is the torque for the handle bars?(the three bolts that hold each bar on)

Tighten stuff till it breaks, buy new stuff, remove broke stuff, put new stuff on 1/4 turn less.... Lesson learned. ;)

If I remember correctly you are supposed to torque one of the engine bolts/slider bolts on one side first, then the other. IIRC right side should get torqued first?

EH, did oneside then the other. Think it was left than right. Just wouldn't of felt right to me to take out both bolts at the same time.

The instructions with my Skyway sliders say: Important: Torque the left side first and then the right side. Skyway also says 29 ft/lb for the torque value which is lower than the torque quoted above for the engine bolts.

My instructions listed doing the left side first so that is the side I did first. Nothing about torque values though. Would take a Yamaha manual value over any other.

Thanks, should have saved those instructions. Left side first............
