I've seen posts over the years about insurance that will haul you back home if you get messed up out of state or farther, and IIRC it was pretty reasonable.  I'll be in the UK in a few weeks and probably renting a bike a little over there (it's not primarily a biking trip), and then doing the Red Lodge trip later for at least another couple weeks.  Seems like a good time to think about insuring against that catastrophe that might be out there.

I'd like to hear about good options you've tried that cover both domestic and international problems.  I'd probably like to be able to specify a time frame that would include just the period of these two trips.  Ideas?  Thanks.

If you haven’t obtained your medical transportation insurance yet you should consider Medical Air Services Association (MASA). They have world wide coverage, though their basic coverage area is the US, Canada, and the Caribbean.

I’ve been a member since 2011, and the membership rate ($240) has not gone up one penny.

Enjoy your trip my friend, and remember...

If there aren’t any pictures it didn’t happen!
