You heard it here first, Tim beat some of the best Team Strange riders in their own backyard. stryg8r took home second place and vows to never give Tim any advice ever again. DaJuice was some where in the top ten, I'm doing this from memory so details are minimal. Some guy named Behm was up there too  Results will be posted on the Team Strange forum later.

Congrats TriggerT :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: and all the other FJR riders too.

Congrats Tim. It is well know that Team Strange fields some of the most competitive LD Riders... to win against such riders is a major accomplishment. In fact I just looked at the MN1K participants list and it reads like a LD Celebrity list.

Derek.. Congrats on your finish. BTW: I thought you promised only to share your rally secrets with me. *******!

Dajuice congrats on a placement somewhere in the top ten. I am guessing that you managed to find all your receipts at the finish....

Bonus #24 worth 56 pts. seems to have been the difference... Tim was the only rider to bag it (?)

A curious mind wants to know. Will there be a release of rally info?
Unlike past MN1Ks the route sheets and even the GPS files will be made available as the "Home Edition" of the MN1K sometime soon.

Tony, I expect to see you here in Minnesota next Fathers Day :big_boss:

Congrats Tim. What an amazing ride you had. Some may not know this was Tim's FIRST 24 hour rally. Not many can claim winning their first.

It was great fun trying to keep up with you for the first half of the rally. I'll be hitting you up for advice on the BitE.

And congrats to Brant on finishing 4th and Pete and Paula finishing 8th.

Thanks everyone. I had a great time, other than the ride home today. What a death march.

I doubt very highly I would have pushed so hard during the rally if Derek and I weren't constantly chasing each other and seeing who could get away from a bonus first.

As far as bonus #24, it is what made the difference, and it WAS NOT in my original ride plan. As most riders stated, the amount of time the mapping software said the route would take was more than what it really took. I added #24 at the very last minute, and didn't do so in the most efficient way, but it worked out very well. Basically, I rode hard enough to get in the top 5 or 10, but it was nothing more than dumb luck that got me the win.

What a great event, I plan on being a regular at more Team Strange events.

Thanks to everyone who worked to pull this together.

Derek, you are still the Jedi Master, and I am a mere student who has passed one test in a long line of tests. Many of the ways of the force still allude me.

It's not you, but all three rallies I have ridden this year have been fun (maybe with the exception of the first 2 hours of the Bonzai). And the entrance fee for the Rally Rallie (yard stick rally) was ridiculously cheap.
