WARNING- This is about the most graphic video I have ever seen of a motorcyclist (scooter actually) getting killed.

I mean it, it is EXTREMELY GRAPHIC and I'm not just saying that to get you to look, I'm saying it because it is sad, real, and well, graphic. It is a video of a rider getting overtaken and completely run over by a truck.

Don't say you haven't been warned.

I did a search of truck vs scooter, so hopefully it isn't a repost.

Not many things make me feel queasy!!! Ponyfool tried to warn me but I didn't listen.

Please note that this isn't hyperbole...I watched it 10 minutes ago and I still feel like I could puke. BE WARNED!!!

Just from all your posts, I'll refrain from looking at this. I don't like to see people getting seriously hurt.

My non-bike riding friends always seem to want to send me graphic motorcycle accidents. If they are trying to tell me something it's not working.

All the cars see it, merge to the left lane, and KEEP GOING! WTF is going on, talk about not getting involved

I watched it to where he went under the front tire - that was enough. I was thinking about a big ruckus for around town, but maybe not. The kids would want to ride it and that doesn't look like a good idea.

There is something positive to say about going faster than the crowd. Speed keeps the action in front of the bike and gives us some control over the situation. The truck driver was wrong, but the scooter had no business there.

I had seen another vid of the same incident from another angle, a camera at right angle to that road and directly across from the impact. It appears that the scooter merged into traffic from the curb, the truck moved left to change lanes and avoid, the scooter was also moving left so the truck went back right. This wasn't the truck mowing down the scooter, this was the scooter moving out in front of traffic. It would have been nice for the truck to use a little more brake rather than simply trying to steer around, though.

Nevertheless, unfortunate.

Damn half helmets....now had he a full face on it would have been a different story! :)

Sorry, just had to get that in there.....saw that vid a while back...pretty eye opening.

Dude, feel sorry for the truck driver, that's it. Dumbass on a scooter get ripped in 1/2 should be the title!! Brings back memories of 'Faces of Death' in school!

Are you fu%*!#@ kidding?!?!? After watching it again a few times, it looks like there was enough ground covered while the scooter was in front of the truck that the truck driver was soley responsible for maintaining his distance. It still may not excuse the scooter driver from driving like a nob, but come on! It definitely reinforces the reminder that threats can came at you from all directions, even behind.
