I have read most posts regarding mounting brackets for the rear trunk, and I am still not sure which is the best way to go.

Has anyone tried this system at all....https://sw-motech.de/index.php?sprach_id=2

I like the look of it, a bracket attached to the bike then the box is attached to the bike with another bracket which is detachable, looks neat and simple but I can't find a post where these have been used.

Check out the options at Premier Cycle Accessories

The owner of Premier is an FJR Owner and fun guy to ride with. I have No financial interest in Premier, I just know OHFJR from last years EOM in Boone.

Good luck!

Yes, I know of those parts, look good and no doubt will do the job.

I don't use my case a lot and was looking for something that was smaller and easy to put on/take off like the one I posted about.

What I lie even better is the brackets and adapters they have for aluminum cases...

the only thing I really really dont' like about my Feejr is that side opening case.....

with that mounting system I could put something really really ugly on her,(meaning some leatherlike cases I just happen to have) and caryy lots more stuff! <LOL>

I have one on my FJR. The mounting is a little flimsy. The rear mounting point is a joke. I ended up drilling two holes in the front and bolted the front like a Yamaha trunk. It is solid now, plus I also have the large rack. It mounts with 3... 1/4 turn screws. It is a nice setup if you don't mind drilling 2 holes in the tail. If you need more info, PM me your phone #, and I will give you a call.. Smitty :)
