After waiting over 3 weeks for my Bosch relay order to come in so I could finish the Blaster harnesses, I get a shipment of these Tyco relays. Needless to say I was pissed! I immediately called the distributor and they put me through to someone who explained that Bosch relays are no more. They sold the relay division to tyco Electronics, who is now making them with the same quality control that Bosch has maintained all this time. Apparently, the backorder delay was due to the recent switch over.

Being the skeptic I am, I tore both brands apart to look inside. Yup...identical in every way as far as I can tell. Only the plastic outer cover has been rebadged with different part #'s.

So anyone buying my harness from here on in, don't worry if the relay says Tyco instead of Bosch. Same high quality part, new name.

If by chance these turn out to have ANY failure rate, (I've had zero with Bosch) I'll switch to the Potter and Brumfield relays. Slightly more expensive, but excellent quality too.

Wholesale only, but you can find them on eBay. They're priced lower, but the wiseass sellers bump the shipping to make up the difference.
