Somewhere I saw a Farkle for expanding the storage under one of the seats on an FJR to add some extra electronic gubbins

But WHERE

I have searched 3 forums and found zilch

Can someone point me to the right place please  :(

Everyone simply removes the tool tray, to gain about 50% more space. I made a simple bracket to secure the ECU (it is normally screwed to the bottom of the tool tray). I also made a 'shelf' to hold my PCIII. There is still plenty of room even after these changes.

Yep, that link is whip.

I tried something different early on and am still running it:

Do a search for heat problem..solved. The post is about cutting away plastic under the seat to reduce heat, but it also frees up space. Reduces heat, frees up a ton of storage space, and reduces weight at the same time.

I use a 100oz tide container with the top cutoff. There is enough room for the audiovox cruise unit, air compressor, troublelight, small bag of TP/tums, leatherman, small tools, tire plug kit, and wheel lock.

Check it out...

Perhaps I'll fabricate a box this winter, but I kinda doubt it...

Thanks for that folks its what I was looking for

but of course madmikes post was just what I didnt need as mine is an ABS bike

:dribble:
