It was a decent, but windy day yesterday, so I decided to go for a ride on my favorite close to home loop. The way I go takes my right past Breitbachs Family Dining in Balltown, IA. I heard that the rebuilding had begun from the second devestating fire, so I threw in the camera. They have the framework up for the lower level, and were putting up some cement forms while I took this shot.

Here is the story

They hope to re-open on June first of this year. I know many of you here have been to Breitbachs and know how good the food is, how friendly the people are, and how great the scenery is overlooking the Mississippi valley in this area. There are some good twisys around here too believe it or not!!

I will update with pics as they progress with the rebuilding.

Thanks for the update. Ate there in 2005...some nice scenery around there.

Hope that people will frequent the place and keep it in business.

Looks like a nice day ride for me, 52 along the river is good, just never been that far north. Guess I need to drop in for lunch.

Yeah Karl, that whole area is good...and while yer up there...the twisty bits are so tantalizingly close...so yo might as well do the whole SW WI thing and spend a night up there...

Those little day rides can lead you lots of places...especially if you don't care where the road takes you ...and you don't have to "be anywhere".
