Edited/corrected:

I'm FINISHED with the Streets&Trips and the GPX(Garmin) files for all the routes. I have passed them on to SlapNPop for posting with printable Overview maps, printable Driving Directions and some ancillary printable maps where necessary.

Someone, probably Heidi, will be going through the massive driving directions that S&T generates and editing them down to something more concise. I'm running out of both time and the desire to pour through all those turn LEFT, turn RIGHT text lines!

Please hang in there. We're almost done.

Jeff

Just FYI... Since I'm doing some 2-up with the youngest daughter, I'm planning on #4 Fri, and then #2 solo on Sat. Like Wheaton, I plan on doing them all another time. Jim Meadows did an outstanding job on recon and documentation.

Any of the trips going to Seneca Rocks WV? A friend said I should make my way there as long as I'm so close.

Negative... Seneca Rocks is quite a way from Lewisburg. That would be more of a northerly WV trip which this isn't. Sceneca Rocks is nice but wait to see what is in store for you. Try it, bet you'll like it.

The routes lay more to the south. However, the riding is actually better and the scenery......well.....will speak for itself. Seneca is spectacular, but so is the New River Gorge, Gauley and Point Mtns, Snowshoe Mtn, the Highland Scenic Highway and Bear Town State Park which can all be seen on just one route. You won't be disappoiinted.

A swing by Seneca on your way back home in certainly within range, and if I wanted to see it, I would definitely consider that. It is well worth it. Give me a holler at the meet and I'll help you lay out a route if you want.

correction to my last comment Tom, there is a ride that goes up as far as Buckhannon & Elkins. If you wanted I suppose that you could re-route thru that area if you wanted.

South is fine, I'll be headed North to visit my folks after EOM, then back to Indiana.
Hmm... I guess that new Link option on google doens't work here.

Try THIS if you wanna see the map.

Anyone going home this way?

You will be within spitting distance of Seneca. A side trip might be in order. Give SlowRide a shout, he can get you zoomed in to Seneca based on your Google route home.

Can I point you to a little better route north?

If you want ? The third waypoint on this route will take you

past the construction site at the top of the mountain for 88 new

wind mills.

Or this

Both routes are on some smaller less traveled 2 lane roads

that still let you make some time if you have to travel a long

ways in one day.

The second route runs past my home town of Burlington and

my wife and I travel these roads frequently.

It looks like I'll have to pass on EOM this year :angry2: Da-- work.

But I hope you have a grand ole time.

Travel safe.

Chuck

Back on the subject of routes...

The S&T, GPX, OverviewMap and detailed DrivingDirections files are all done. SlapNPop will be posting them very soon.

Heidi is working on the abbreviated DrivingDirections and then I'll convert them to PDF and we'll post with the other files.

Should all be in place by this weekend.

I would be willing to print the maps in color and bring them with me for people that need them. Let me know, I will be arriving on Thursday evening. BTW, no charge... :)

I'm not going home that way...but coming down that way. Most likely staying at Canaan Valley Resort SP (in WV) Thursday night and up in PA south of Galeton, PA on Wednesday night.

I think you'll have a blast going to visit your folks...after you have a blast with the routes these guys are cooking up. :clapping: :clapping:
