Upgrading FJRAE to new 2009 YCC-S Mapping?

According to the website, "For 2009, the FRJ1300AE receives new mapping for YCC-S which aids with improved response while downshifting from neutral."

Any idea how one could implement this?

How do you downshift from neutral? It's at the bottom (as you well know).

It would be nice to be able to shift into neutral while still on the move. Maybe that's what the '09's do?

Like others, I have no issues with the AE, but when I picked up my 07 this afternoon after the igniton recall, I asked the service manager about the new mapping.

His response was that he was not aware of any method of updating the YCC-S firmware, and suspects that either the ECU, the YCC-S computer, or both would have to be replaced. He has offered to check into it further and let me know.

Yes, see this topic, until engine speed below clutch disengagement speed.
