There is a 2006 FJR for sale in the SF Bay Area - he's asking $12,800. What would be a good offer that I should start at?
Thanks

Considering most BA prices are $15,000 OTD minimum, it's a deal. I saw the ad and considered it myself!!There is a 2006 FJR for sale in the SF Bay Area - he's asking $12,800. What would be a good offer that I should start at?

This is a used FJR that is being sold by a private party. It has 600 miles on it.whats the mileage?
Is this info from your personal experiance with the 2006 FJR or just a rant about FJR's in general? That's a good price IF the vibrating mirrors, buzzing grips, over-sprung throttle, rock-hard seat, too-soft suspension, instant-mpg display, too-large-small-wide-tall-narrow-short windshield, defective sidestand and gawd-awful color have been replaced.

Rant? I don't see a an overabundance of exclamation marks or capital letters. I'm just repeating what is being reported ad infinitum, ad nauseum, right here in this forum by those with personal experience with their own 2006 FJRs.This is a used FJR that is being sold by a private party. Starcruiser is sadly misinformed on Cali bikes...Ok, were do we start....
The price,,,while dealers are tagging em for $13,500- $14,000, the bikes were selling for around $11,500-$12,000 on a pre-order basis with a $500 deposit.. And some waited a while.....05s are selling for around 9K on ebay....Meaning a year from now, that'll be what an 06 is worth "maybe"... I'd say somewhere around $11,000 would be OK price... although I have this feeling the asking price maybe around $13,000 as most individuals want their lb of flesh too....if that's the case,,,think I get in touch with one of the dealers mentioned in here who are in Texas or Alabama and make arrangements with these guys for be up for first on the list for an 07 AE model.....Think of the fun you'd have riding it home anyway....What a great 1st trip that'd be...
Hope that helps...
P.S. I have the AE, you couldn't give me a bike with a clutch on it now ...I'd rather walk. Not really, but riding the AE is the most fun I've experience in 40 years of riding!
+1Starcruiser is sadly misinformed on Cali bikes...All the above does not mean **** in Cali, $15,000 OTD is the norm. The 49 state bike pricing does not mean crap to Cali. There have been some exceptions to the norm, but very very few.
Even a soup sandwich can save the life of a starving weasel.+1Starcruiser is sadly misinformed on Cali bikes...

Also, don't listen to RadioHowie. He is about as useful as a soup sandwich.
I'd move then, with what you'd save alone in not having to pay state income tax in Texas, you could buy yourself a new FJR every year....and for only $11,900 too...er make that $12,900 for the AE....Starcruiser is sadly misinformed on Cali bikes...Ok, were do we start....
