It's VERY flat around here. I rarely get to lay the bike over for very long. So I wear the crap out of the center of my tires. Seems that if I stopped short of wearing to the tread indicator that someone who lives and rides in different topography, might be able to make good use of my tires.

It costs me about $15 for shipping tires from CA to NC. So I was thinking that a price of around $25 plus shipping might seem fair.

I am also wondering if anyone has already organized such a thing for FJR tires? I know there are tons of places that do it for cagers.

Just thinking out loud... Bash away!!!

So, are you going to start changing your oil early so we get a break on that too?

Will you stop chewing your gum before the flavor is gone?

Jeff, I think maybe you mispoke (trying to help you out here). I think you meant to say most of your roads are straight and you had heard that some street riders buy their tires from roadracers. Some say that roadracers don't use the center of the tire much, its the edge that gets worn, so they are still plenty serviceable for street use. Is this true and do any race type bikes use the same size tires as the feejer?

I knew it was coming... but TWN, I thought it would be you or Rad, not Scooter. :(
Dude, I ain't joking here, skooter gets his jollies outta how many miles he can squeeze outta tires. Being the king of cheap, I meant he'd prolly take you up on your offer.

I've joked with some of the guys out here we should start a community tire closet. Too bad you're not a lot closer and this might work very well. Wait... if you were a lot closer your tire wear would probably look exactly like mine! The only problem I see is getting them off before you loose contour. I can't really use a set of flat-tops and you probably don't want my 35 degree baldies. Mine are toast at 4k so I'm not sure if yanking mine off at 2.5-3k miles would be time/cost effective.

PM me if you want to pursue this.
