Actually, if you posted mail yesterday with 39 cents, expect it to come back with IP, is what was reported on Friday's news.

And I just bought a roll of 100 stamps last week. $ .39 ones. Sheesh.

Don't feel bad, I bought 600 of them the same way. Post card and first class. And now I have PAGES of make up stamps. Next stop... "forever" stamps. Too bad I still need card stamps.

I have the feeling that rate increases will come at a faster pace from now on.

Still got a page of 2 centers from last time. which wasn't that long ago :glare:

Wow, I remember when it went to $.29, and UPS was considering offering similar service to compete but they couldn't make the numbers work.

I wonder at what cost it does make sense for them to jump in the game. I am still amazed at what the Post office does do on a consistent basis and how quickly they do get things done.

This isn't a political statement, and I'm not saying that mail carriers don't work hard, they do, it's the rest of the system that's screwed up in a way only the government can screw it up ;)

Just imagine how efficient it could be :)

The good news is that you can buy stamps now that have "First Class Postage" printed on them and they'll be good until you run out, even if the rates go up again. I'm gonna buy rolls regularly at Costco and hoard them, so the next time they jack the rate I'll be one-up.
