I'm going to be down in the Salt Lake City area next Monday to Thursday and then figuring out a 2-3 day return route to Washington State.

I've heard these places are must sees.

1. Zion National Park

2. Bryce Canyon

3. Grand Canyon

4. Alpine Meadows

5. Trappers Loop

6. ?

7. ?

If you have routes and places to stay and eat I'd love to hear about them. If you're up for it let me know and perhaps my 1/2 brother and I could meet up with some of you for a ride or drinks. :)

I really loved Southern Utah. I just covered that area (along with Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico) with my father a few months back. Here is my ride report....it has alot of pics and road recommendations for Utah:

Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico

Have fun.

Regards,

Davy

Utah 12 from Zion over to Torrey is awesome. On UT12, at the little town of Boulder, there is a small road that turns off and runs towards Capital Reef and Bull Frog Marina, but turns to dirt after about 20 miles. Well worth the detour to ride it until it turns to dirt. There's a cleft in the canyon wall at the bottom of the canyon hat is amazing, cold air just pours out of it. Also, stay on 12 and see Escalante Canyon. Absolutely amazing change in scenery in one turn.

Another don't miss is the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Been to both rims, love the north rim with the blue spruces, aspens, etc.
