We are so lucky as americans to have soldiers like these that have no problem dealing with local scum. When they are deployed I feel sorry for any foe that tries to cross them. These are 3 incredible soldiers. I am in Long Beach alot, I hope the police officer is doing good. dr

Marines.......sorry had to do it :)

We had a Marine late last year lose his life helping during an early morning rush hour traffic accident. He wasn't even involved. He saw the accident and stopped to render aid. He helped an elderly couple from their car about 20 seconds before it got creamed by another car. Then went back into the fray to help a Muslim woman and her baby out of her car. He was struck by passing traffic and killed. Our whole unit was at his funeral. About 200 Marines all in dress blues.

"Run to the Guns"

It's not just a phrase written on the back of a t-shirt...

Congratulations to these Marines for doing the right thing.

Thanks for that Mike.

Axman your son's story has been heard far and wide in the Marine Corps. I thought I recognized the name in your signature. I first heard of this via e-mail while at work then though various higher ranking enlisted at my unit. It was also posted on the Marine Corps official website as well as in the Marine Corps times if memory serves me correctly. At our Marine Corps ball last year his story also made it into our living memorial video. It is touching and I am proud to call him my brother in arms. He saved many Marines that day.
