Hey troops, It is cold and I just pulled the gas tank to do a first valve check/ adjust. The manual says pull every piece of plastic on the front of the bike. is this really necessary for at least just a measurement. Looks to me like getting the side fairings off and leaving the front nose fairing should do it. Am I wrong??

I searched, but found no posts that address this subject. Thanks for any inputs. CCook

CC,

I just had my head redone at the shop and you are correct, the nose piece was left in place with no problem.

Thanks, HiYo. CC

Just pulled both side fairings off to do the coolant "********" this weekend. It is very easy. Just don't forget the remove the three phillips screws (each side) above the front wheel.
