Just do the RAD's NUTS mod and raise your shield/brace up off the motor arm. That let's a lot of air up under there. Takes some of the back pressure off. Not sure how good it is for cooling, but it sure tips the shield down at the top.

Much easier than trying to vent the dash.

And use a hole saw to add some Cal-Sci like holes to your stock screen. I did both these last night and the ride to work today was much smoother.
