Do these compare well against the Shoei RF-1000 I'm saving up for?

The specs look good, and the price is certainly good. Never heard of this brand though, anybody got any experience with them?

Never owned a Vemar helmet (I stick to Arai & Shoei because they fit me better).

I know, however, they're an Italian manufacturer that began producing motorbike helmets 20 years ago.

VEMAR Website

I don't know why they never made it to the level of other Italian makes like AGV, Nolan, Suomy etc. although they are well known to racing pilots here.

The price of this Silver Vemar VSR is awesome (they go for EUR 300+ over here) I'd go for it with the only question mark being spare parts. But at that price I would not really care...

I found a thread in parts and accessories with this link about a helmet comparrison - https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/..._helmet_review/

I read the review and found that the Vemar did pretty good with keeping the G's down in a crash. So, I did a search on all the helmets and this one came out with not only great reviews, but a great price so I bought it. I will report on the helmet once I get it and use it for a bit.

I'd like to hear about the noise levels. My $100 HJC is noisy even with ear plugs.

This is a good looking helmet, though I hate to buy without fitting.

Oh, and the link posted above (not the sale site, but the review site) doesn't work.

I have a Vemar Carbon. It's not a bad helmet, but not a great one either! I have an ARAI Corsair as well and the Vemar is my backup to the ARAI. The Vemar is noisy (so is the ARAI because they're both race helmets), fit is ok (not as plush as the ARAI), quality is ok (nothing to rave about). One thing I really dislike about it is the way the interior fits together, kind of half assed. For a $100 it's a good deal though. Doesn't compare to the upper end ones though.

The link should now work. Sorry about that.

The helmet did quite good in the following review. They actually liked the interior. I just hope that it works out well for me when I get it. https://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/vemar/

This review is for the same helmet, just the one they reviewed had graphics on it.

I just ordered one and also ordered a can of plastic cleaner to put it over the 100 dollar mark to get free shipping. It was like getting the can for free. Hopefully it will be a nice helmet. Everett

Thanks all for the good info, I need a spare and this should fit the bill.

The windjammer base padding should quiet it down too. Just ordered it.

Vemar VSR helmets in the sizes of L and XL are on sale for $99.95 :clapping: The original price is $399.95

The site they are on sale at is https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/..._helmet_review/

Standard disclaimer. I have no affiliation with this company or site. I just found it and ordered one myself.
please provide the specific link to find the blowout price for the helmet. I could only find the review. thanks

Sorry about that. I have corrected the site in the original post and added another site selling the helmet at closeout for the same price.

Would have been great for a back-up helmet but I guess they only have L and XL available in the Met.Silver, and the helmets run larger anyway -------- big sigh. :(
Check the sizing for the VEMAR helmets on the extreme site, you never know.
