This is really bothering me because its right at highway speeds. I find myself slowing to get away from it. Can for sure feel it through seat and bars. Makes my fingers tingle if i ride it long enough. Bought some fingerless gloves with gel pads in them hoping this might help. seemed to help maybe a little but its still there. Is this just something that you have to put up with? Does this bother any one else or am i just to fussey? Have had many inline 4 cyl bikes before and never noticed anything like this before.

It's the nature of the beast. They all do it.

I installed the Audiovox Electric cruise to get away from the vibes, And it really helps.

The Throttlemeister is probably the best way to go for you though, And a lot easier to install!

Yes I had the same issue and installed the manic salamander heavy bar end weights and it helped alot. My hands didn't get tingley after the bar ends. Then I installed the Helibar upper triple to bring the bars back to me more and that help even more with the vibes so now it is pretty smooth up to 5k rpm's

I tried every known mod and aftermarket part countless syncs etc...now have McCruse

Going down to local dealer to order throttlemeister. Hope this helps . Not real happy with this bike so far this should not be an issue with an inline four .

I had the same thing, I put a PC3, BMW grips and Manic Salamander bar ends, also a throttle boby sych helped.

YamTom,

Sorry to hear about your vibes. Unless you are exagerrating this, you may have more prob's that me need to be looked into before spending money. To confirm, I would find a FJR owner in your area to do a comparison.

This would help confrim if your condition is extreme or not. If it is extreme, you are still under warranty to have it covered. Something does not sound right.

Hope this helps and good luck with your solution.

I've a 1st generation, an '04.

For cheap, get a "Cramp Buster" for $13 and put it over the throttle grip in 15 seconds. I never leave home without it...

Vibes like that don't sound right. Grip puppies and gloves is all I have and I only notice a slight vibe at 4000 that don't really bother me. Of course I am kinda old and don't feel much except for a hurting butt. Don't sound like the seat bothers you.

Yam-Tom,

I don't know if you have done it yet, but go through and check the torque on your engine mount bolts; especially if you have sliders installed. One day I noticed I was getting some bad vibes in my '07 that were getting worse. They started out being noticible above about 3500RPM all the way up. Then they moved to about 2500RPM...Turned out my slider bolts had started backing out and just needed re-torqued. Once that was done, it was back to its old smooth self. Just an idea.

Have you tried driving FASTER to get away from the vibes?

I've found driving faster can help you get away from lots of things. Except the state patrol, they've got radios.

+1 on the Throttle Rocker. If mine was to dissapear and the price went to $100 bucks,.. i'd still spend the money for a new one the next day!
