After Graduating from Orange High School in the sixties a large number of us joined the Military. I joined the US Army and was first on a Unit Levy for Vietnam, then sent to Germany on a Manpower Levy. Many of my Military OHS Classmates and I communicated by mail all over the Globe, a friend sent me this link so I could view our lost classmates from High School!

Vietnam Wall

First click on a state. When it opens, scroll down to the city and the names will appear. Then click on their names.

It should show you a picture of the person, or at least their bio and medals.

This really is an amazing web site. Someone spent a lot of time and effort to create it.

I hope that everyone who receives this appreciates what those who served in Vietnam sacrificed for our country.

The link below is a virtual wall of all those lost during the Vietnam war with the names, bio's and other information on our lost heroes. Those who remember that time frame, or perhaps lost friends or family

can look them up on this site.

Pass the link on to others, as many knew wonderful people whose names are listed.

I was fortunate to be part of an escort for one of the walls they move around. After it was set up I looked up a few friends I lost in that mess. It was a pretty emotional experience

I got to visit the wall briefly during my last rally:

I could not see the wall from the road, but then realized that it is ground level and you must walk down to see the wall.

Very somber to visit and realize that EVERY name represented a human life that was lost and a family that bore their loss.

Great sacrifice indeed.

Seeing the memorial is high on my bucket list. Thanks for the reminder.

Sgt. Lawrence A Franklin, B Co, 2nd btn,503 Infantry, 173rd Abne panel 2E line 115, the older brother I never got to know very well

Hi Don,

thanks for sharing. So many lost, still fills me with great sadness. I joined the Australian Army in 1973, hence I did not go to Vietnam.

Best regards

Steve
