Now how would I know that if I don't know what roads you know? I have ridden a lot of roads out and around the mountains of VA and into WV. Many to chose from that offer both twisties and nice scenic routes. I will mao something out and post it later. I am off to continue my chores for now. I will check back in later.

Oh, just messin', Bob. I forgot a smilie. Have a good one.

Weeellllll, I've not been paying too much attention. Put some plans out there and I will try to make out. Cannot guarantee, but will try.

I have been following this thread and am interested in riding (always). I have to work Sat the 25th but could meet up Sun. I ride in the Seneca Rocks, Petersburg, Moorefield area most of the time. Old Rt. 55 from Wardensville to Moorefield seems to be my favorite road.

Hey Bellman. I haven't ridden that area.\, so definitely interested in checking out some new roads. As nice a day as it is today I am still working on the pool deck. i plan to ride tomorrow though. Maybe I could swing down that way and we could meet up.

My brother and I rode across 33 into WV an then took severl different roads until ending up in Summerville then down 19 to Fayetteville. It was beautiful riding and scenery. I would like to do that trip again. Start out early on a saturday and ride through the mountains and end up in Fayetteville. There is a campground calle Rifrafters that we stayed at. It has cabins with beds. You just need to provide the bedding. We could take one route through the mountains out and another back. There are plenty of nice roads to cover in the area. Whada ya'll think?

Just got back from a ride, Front Royal Rt. 55 to new Rt 55 to Moorefield and old Rt 55 back. New 55 has the views and old 55 has the road. Also a ton a backroads on the way back. Great ride.

Whada y'all think?
I think that I'd need to cut in on ya'll somewhere enroute. If I were to try meeting ya'll at 8:00 in Ruckersville, VA, I'd need to be on the road by about 5:30 in the morning... & have me getting out of bed by 4:30. As much as I like to ride, it is doubtful that will happen.

I can ride out & probably meet you on Rte 250, somewhere. I'm much more a fan of 250 than 33, anyway. Maybe meet you in Monterey for breakfast or an early lunch?

Well, you are the only one that has replied, so if it is just you the trip will be modified as needed. I am completely flexible.

Bob, have you ever ridden Rte 56 from Lanes Ford (on Rte 29) west to Vesuvius?

I would have to leave my house at around 4-5:00 AM to meet you in Fayetteville Sunday by 9:00, any other time I would be good but I have to work Saturday (1st time in years for inventory). So I will pass on this trip.

Hi, Bob. This is Hogan!
Mike,

I thought your name was Larry the Boiler Guy. And I thought you were dead or at least driving slowly. I hope all is going well with you or better.

I bought an iPod to listen to in the car or on the bike or where ever. What a piece of ****. They come with two little speakers that don't make any real noise. You can dangle them right in front of your face and you still can't hear them for ****. I finally took them and shoved them in my ears and I can hear them, but people say that I talk too loud when I have them in, and I can't hear a ******* thing when I try to answer my cellphone. What the hell is this world coming to?

I look forward to our next ride (once I figure how to work this iPod thing).

hey! real name is sharon and i'm interested in any rides that come along. hubby is Violione (real name Jay). we have to take turns on overnight rides (kids, ya know . . . social workers don't like it when we leave 'em home alone over night . . . LOL). we are in VA Beach . . . takes some time to get to the mountains, but always worth it. when V gets back from riding goat trails with spklbk in WV, i'll ask if i can escape for the 25th (though on second thought, his vacation ends the last day of July . . . he might like to get in another ride before that. will let you know).

Here is the link to the campground I am proposing. Clicky I have stayed there. The cabins provide beds with mattress, but no bedding. (A sleeping bag works well) they also have lights and fridge and microwave. I will call him today to find out about availability. If cabins are not available I am sure tent sites will be.

Hi Sharon and Jay! So far the only people that have expressed interest in this ride (other than myself) are from your area. If you or Jay decide to come and Heidi(luvtoride) comes I will adjust the plans accordingly, so you all don't have to get up in the "wee" hours to meet me.

Let me know everyone. The route I proposed is not set in stone. so we can modify any way we desire. The area has a lot of great roads to ride.
