Vista Cruise slipping

My vista cruise keeps popping free. This is unsettling at speed. At first I thought it wasn't tight enough but now even after tightening it still slips free. I thought i saw some fixes on here but I can't seem to find them.

Usually if you take a file to the two matching "flat" surfaces, and really make them flat so that when the lock is engaged they are tightly up against each other, the popping open will stop.

You could prop the throttle open using a throttlmeister, then use the vista cruise. I'm pretty sure it won't slip.
