Seeing as how we are very close to September, I guess I could let you all in on what I know about the 2010 FJR.
No real news on the the FJR 1300 A or AE. They will remain mostly unchanged. Two colors will be offered. I will let you talk about the ones you like. Here's a hint: one color is new, the other is from a previous year.
The big news is that Yamaha will also have an FJR1300 GT.
This is very big news.
New lightweight frame that not only is 40 lbs lighter, it is stiffer besides.
Weight reduction everywhere. The wet weight should come in around 565 lbs.
More power. The displacement is unchanged but the power is up to just a tad over 160.
Bigger alternator
New front forks.
New rear suspension. Adjustments for both front and rear suspension are still there.
Heated grips
Cruise control
Handlebars adjustable for height and reach
Power distribution center for electronic farkles
Heated seat
Oh, and the last thing which will put this post into crystal clear perspective; a final drive unit similar to BMWs.
