I've just finished editing the pictures from what our group calls "the big ride." We try to do one of these every year. Last year was Bella Coola and many parts of Canada, this year we rode the Sierras in northern California.

The route is here: https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=131469

I will be making a photo book of our trip using one of the many online bookmaking services for each of the riders. I don't yet have all the captions finished. I expect I will be spending another week or so doing that. Like most rides, the pictures are of primary interest to the riders and riding junkies. Normal civilians just don't get it.

Here is a micro snapshot of the ride. One pic per day. Picking just one pic was hard. There were lots of good ones. 11 days, 11 pics. The book has about 125.

Some of the ride reports posted here are damn near works of art, mine is sort of lame. But we had fun.

One final note: the word of the ride was "hoon." One of the riders in our group is a university professor and seriously wacky. After a particularly delightful day of twisties he accused us of "hoonery."

"Hoon," and its derivatives became the word of the ride. Here's a link to Hoonery: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoon

I also apologize about the ****** quality of the pictures. The finished pictures are beautiful but I just can't figure out the resizing needed to make a good web shot.

Look for a MASS plated bike sitting outside your place in the next couple of weeks. Hmmmm tentative date for landing in Walla Walla 9.16 on our way south. Oh really nice pic on the Crater Lake one.!!!

Great pics as usual Bob. Soooo looking forward to the rest of the story from the Walla Walla Gang. . “Where is Greg and Bob... hmmm”

Keep Going!

Enjoyed running into you folks in Lee Vining! Glad to hear that the rest of the trip turned out well for you. :good:

My ride up through Lassen Park to Redding was exceptional until the temps reached 105! Was glad to see my Sister's place where I must have drunk three quarts of nice, cold H2O. Didn't enjoy that as much as the couple of beers with you in LV though... :drinks:

Looking forward to seeing the finished product Ride Report with pictures!

Hope to run into you folks again - Good Peeps in Wally World for sure!

Don
