has anyone ridden to wallawa lake ?

is it too late in the year to go ?

have done the trip on msn streets and trips to get route.

looks like a great ride.

planning to go on sept 8 th,09.right after labor day week end any info would be appreciated

Should be fine that time of the year. Might be cool and rainy...pack the proper gear and you'll be fine. Take the trip up over Tollgate on 204 to get to the lake. There are MANY fun roads in the area, Enterprise north to Lewiston down the Rattlesnake grade or south to Joseph and on to Hell's Canyon. Depending on how long you're in that area of Oregon you can ride yourself silly and burn up a set of tires to boot!

Have Fun.

Where you coming from and when are you planning on being in that area? I need to get to Oxbow Dam and was thinking of making the trip from Tri-Cities on Thursday morning and heading back home way of Joseph.

Dave

PS. If anyone else wants to make the trip let me know :)

I'm planning a Hells Canyon ride maybe the weekend after. I haven't decided yet but I must do it on the weekend.

Looks like fun.

Been there many times. Was up there a few weeks ago and camped with the wife and the FJR. Good ride. I am always up for a ride up to the wallowas. The ride up to lewiston is great also.

thanks for all the info, thats why I love this site
I started (and finished) my tour there last September. Outstanding place with great roads and scenery. I do not know if the weather was exceptional but I was blessed with constant sunshine and 90 deg apart from a few storms in Yellowstone and through Montana. I just need to save for another year or two before I can return.
