Hello,

I have wanted an FJR since 2003...I have been saving my money and reading this forum for 3 years now. I have finally saved up enough to hopefully purchase an '06 or '07. I have cash in hand and would like to purchase a bike in the 7-8K range. I prefer for the owner to have the title in hand. I am wiling to pay the upper range if the bike has newer Consumables (tires, brakes, services completed), and if it is located in the NJ, NY, CT, MA, PA area, as I can ride it home and save on shipping, but if it is further away, then the seller would have to be agreeable to shipping (I will use a door to door service).

I would prefer for the bike to already have an aftermarket seat, aftermarket windshield, and handlebar risers....anything else would just make it that much more enticing.

I am only looking for the FJR 1300A, with the Clutch, NOT AUTOMATIC.

I hope I don't sound to stuffy, but I am limited on what I can spend, only what's in my sock drawer :)

Please feel free to contact me via email: [email protected]

Thanks and I look forward to talking,

Robert

Bump to help your search, and you're a smart man - saving up, spending cash, no credit.

Wait a minute, are YOU the one who has caused this recession?

Your situation is nearly identical to mine. I've also been looking around for a FJR and was primarily looking at the Gen 1 bikes as I'm limited on funds. I'd love to be able to get a Gen 2 if possible. Seems that most of the goood deals on these bikes are not on the west coast though. I hope to have one by summer anyway.

Good luck in yoru search.

Rick

Bump for garywayne, Johnson City, Tn:

I am selling my 2007 FJR-A model (it is [ed. Cerinun] Cerulean Silver like the AE models..dealer swapped out all the painted parts at time of purchase).

Bike has 18,444 miles on it and has never been dropped

Dealer serviced at 17,094 miles, new PR2 tires installed at the same time and also installed Cee Bailey's 2+2 windshield at the same time (all this will save someone over $700.00).

Frame Sliders

BMW style outlet on left side for battery tender, heated gear

SAE connector hardwired on right side (I use this for the GPS)

Fork stem RAM mount for GPS

Geraulds luggage rack

G2 throttle tube

Fender extender

Magnum blaster horns

Factory service manual

I'm asking $9500.00 and I'm located in Johnson City, Tn (eastern part of the state).

I also have 2 oil filters and a tank bag that go with the bike.

Price lowered to $9000.00

I found out today that my riding is over for this year (3 operations in 8 months) so I really need to sell the bike. Hate to have it sitting all year so I'll even throw in a bike cover.

Glad I wasn't the one who caused it.....maybe Bernie M. Helped, but not me....I am just a lowly healthcare worker saving my penny's......

I guess I wasn't the only one day dreaming of this amazing bike for the last few years ;)

I wish you luck on your purchase too, just hope we don't get in each others way :D

A Gen 2 would be REALLY NICE!!!! :yahoo:

Good luck,

Robert

Way cool B) Very glad it worked out for the both of you. Maybe I'll be seeing you down the road sometime!

Congrats on the pending purchase! :clapping:

You got enough for all the farkles and riding gear? My bike purchase price was about half of what I have in it after four years....

Congrats on the purchase, Robert! I've "almost" bought a bike from Gary twice now. Years ago when I was looking for a Honda ST1300 his '05 was for sale. Since my wife's brother lives in the same town as Gary, I had him stop by and look at it. He confirmed that the Gary's bike was very clean, but I found one locally and bought it the next week.

This Feejer looks like a very unique bike and I gave it due consideration, but it's just outside my reach financially when I consider the distance.

Anyway, Gary's a great guy and you have bought a fantastic machine.

Enjoy.

I have been riding for awhile now, so I luckily have all the gear I need, and Gary has an AMAZING bike and should have all the farkles I will need for awhile....new service, new tires, new windshield, custom saddle....

I am sure I will dump more money as the years pass though

Thanks Rick...I had to pull some extra money, but it was well worth it, as you said, it should be a GREAT bike! Gary has been extremely nice, very helpful, extremely responsive/communicative, and has really been going out of his way to help and over communicate...can't say enough good things about him...

I wish you GOOD LUCK in your search for the best bang for your buck, and I hope it comes to you soon :)

Thanks, Robert. I'm working on two different '07s right now and will hopefully be able to work something out on one. Standard black cherry though unlike yours! I do like that color though. One is local and has 41K miles and a scratched muffler. The other is a fly-and-ride and only has 10K miles, but some scratches on the right side faring and saddlebag. It makes it more affordable for me though as I'm very limited on funds right now. I want a Gen 2 though.

I hope one of those work out for you rick, that way you can have a long summer of riding, but in your state, you can probably ride year 'round :)

If you are planning on riding this bike for many years to come, than the latter bike sounds like the better....but that is just a guess with very little information about either....let me know what you end up getting and send some pics, always enjoy FJR stuff and i am sure you will be sooooo happy when it happens....

Take care,

Robert
