FleaBay will notify me if anything shows up there and I'm watching Craig's List too.

I know not all Gen II rims are the same as mine. '06 and '07 should work (and maybe an '05 ABS).

I'd like the full assembly, not just a stripped down rim. I'll even take the tire off myself if it still has one on it.

Thanks,

Joe

Hit a pothole?
I decided to buy an extra rim so I can visit the Dark Side part time. For most of my riding, I'm happy with a PR2.

Did you see this one on ebay? Looks like it has ABS stuff.
I contacted him, but he's not selling it as an assembly. He's pulling the rotors (and God knows what-else) before he sells the rim. Don't ask me why he's leaving the tire on.

Now that I think about it, leaving the tire on probably saves him a few bucks on disposal fees.

And..., leaving the tire on can hide gouges from home tire changes using big screwdrivers, etc.

I've seen that (severely gouged bead area on rim) on, normally, pricey bikes/wheels and have seen some that no-longer

are completely air-tight.

Caveat Emptor (especially, used).

Good luck.

Thanks ngarider for clearing up what assemblies will work. <Link>

I'm still looking for an '06 or '07 rear rim assembly, including bearings, dust cover, rotor, etc.

Joe, I've been down the path you seek, twice!

I can't recommend enough to just buy the parts new. I hope I never have to buy another used wheel unless I can physically inspect it first.
