I recently had Rick Mayer build me a custom leather seat and I love it. Just did a 5 day, 2,200 mile trip and I was very happy with the seat. The problem for me is I live in SW Florida and it rains every afternoon in the summer. With gas prices the way they are, I want to start riding to work, but, I don't want my new leather seat to get screwed up in the rain.

email me at [email protected]

Thanks ;)

Use good leather cleaner then a conditioner and water proofing agent you won't have to worry

Had a leather seat by Mayer on my ST1100 and 15000k later thru all types of weather - cold wet hot dry snow ect the seat never had an issue

If you can find a Tack shop ( horse stuff ) they will have the stuff you will need.

Follow their advice they have been doing it for long time with their saddles

If you can find a nice cow girl she may help you with the application

Leather is very tough stuff and when treated properly will last forever
