Warranty Question

I am in the market to purchase a FJR 1300A 2016 and have a question about Yamaha's warranty policy. If I purchase the bike from a dealer that is located out of my home state would my local Yamaha dealer honor the new bike warranty? I realize from the posts on this forum that the extended 4 year warranty optional purchase would be honored by any Yamaha dealer.

Factory warranty must be honored by all dealerships. It doesn't matter where you purchase your bike. Think about it like this, what would happen if you broke down while traveling? Obviously you'd need repairs and likely couldn't wait until you get home. It's just like an automotive warranty.
