Took the bike to work today, I work next to a cement mixing plant I looked outside and my bike was covered in lime stone. I have a skinskin tank cover on bike, do I have remove cover to wash bike?

Yes. If you get that skin wet and it dries the paint can get cloudy. That is why I skipped getting one.
Sounds sort of familiar. I came home yesterday and pulled into the garage next to my RED FJR and...bird shit all over it! I thought, WTF?! Seems a juvenile robin got into the garage and his favored perch was right over the FJR. White bird splats on the seat, the tank skin, the map cover on the tank bag, inside the (unzipped) tank bag and on the gloves and tire repair kit in there... I've never realized just how much shit is in a little bird. It was all over the garage floor, on all my stuff... I almost went in the house and got the cat. Instead, I shooed it out with a broom.
