On my '04 FJR engine oil weeps it way out around the filler cap collecting in a grooved recess below the cap. The gasket/O-ring on the cap appears to have recessed into the cap or possibly just slowly eroded away over the years.

Are new gaskets available which can be retrofitted onto the cap? Don't know if it's a common O-ring or a specialty item?

Not a big deal but the oozing oil creates an oily mud pie just below the cap.

Hmmmm, seems odd. Oil overfilled? Crankcase vent clogged or pinched?

The o-ring is supposed to sit into a recess in the cap. Maybe it's just been compressed too many times and it's flattened out or has gotten hard and lost its pliability. Take it with you to an auto parts store and see if they can match it up. Even if they can't, it can't be much from Mama Yama. But check the other stuff first.

CM - Check other threads on this, recently one person on the forum had engine failure, blow by past the rings, compression in one cylinder was..... real low.

Hopefully yours is over filled or clogged breather.

Good luck.
