Heading on a 3000 miler to NC and thereabouts. Gonna go give my oldest daughter away, then go see Grumpy for a guided tour of western NC, eastern Tennessee. I'll try and maybe post from abroad. Leave in the am, wish me luck. :D

Be nice to the ol' Grumpster. Be sure not to have your bike too close to his. He's got this bad habit of falling over on ya'. Just like dominoes!

But seriously, just missed ya' by 2 weeks. There were a few of us Feejerites pretty close to Grumpy's home in Carolina. Would've been nice to meet ya'.

So, you carrying the tiara with you?

Nope,in fact, thanks for reminding me, gotta get the wrap off to OV so's Sherri can get some sewing done prior to the next coronation. Was gonna tape the tiara to Franks fender, but got a feeling it wouldn't stay long.

roughly where in NC will you be traveling?Have fun also. :)
Charlotte, Monroe, Hendersonville. And thanks, I intend to.

Damn rad -- that's a shame. Have you at least advertised to see if you can sell her first?

Congrats, and have a great trip. :)

Be safe, and don't call the poor guy a worthless S-O-B during the ceremony. You'll have plenty of time after they're married.

Giving away the daughter... BTDT, a bittersweet day for sure. Take some pics if you have a camera. Ride safe.

Oh, and don't forget to check the gun laws in the state's you'll be passing thought. Hate to have to start a "Get Rad out of jail fund" because some trooper didn't like the shotgun you were taking to the wedding!

Thanks all. Man, I'll tell ya's-the night before a trip is one of my favorite times in life. The prep, the anticipation, the unknown-all conspire to make for a high that no drug can equal. Some here (hell, many) probably think nothing of a 3k jaunt, but for me it's a rare treat. Never really made scoot trips like this pre-Frank, never had a machine with legs this long, at least one I could stand to be with for hours on end anyway. Tis a tribute to the qualities this bike has that I would consider, much less look forward to, trips of this magnitude. This from a guy who used to take his mattress on fishing trips, filling the tent with it, much to the bemusement of his companions.. :p
