Was bidding on a pair of Gaerne boots. They want $20.00 shipping so I know how high I want to go. I have the high bid ($42) with less than a minute to go. I've submitted to go as high as $51.00 if outbid. I watch the auction end, and in literally the last 3 Seconds, 6 new bids fly in and the price jumps to $64.50. With the $20.00 shipping turned out not that great anyway at that price, but it pisses me off that it seems like a rigged system where some robot jacks the price at the end.... What a waste of time. :angry:

I never bid on anything until the last few seconds. All you do is drive up the price if you bid early.

Looks to me like you had 12:59:57, 12:59:58, and 12:59:59 wide open. Learned a lesson, huh? :lol:

I hate it when that happens. I do love my Gaerne boots however. Hope you find another pair at a good price.

Shoot, I've seen stuff sell for more than 50% over retail, and we aren't talking hard-to-get stuff either. I stay the hell away from e-bay AND paypal. Life's too short to dance with that ugly broad.
