I love trolling through the posts on the forum. Every once in a while, a post comes up that I laugh hard at, and then giggle a little more hours later just thinking about the post. The most recent one for me was from Ignacio where I swear I was nearing a coffee nasal lavage from this post. In good spirit and with intent to lighten our holiday mood, what's your most humorous finding on the forum?

Those goofy Japanese engineers! They built an Easter Egg into the FJR!

While most people think that it's not a natural thing to play throttle games while on the centerstand and quite content the bike is quiet while riding normal down the road with a load on it--you've actually discovered the first stage to to a hidden secret only a few FJR owners know.

With clutch in hand turn the throttle halfway in first gear as you've done. Leave at that level for 3 minutes. 2 minutes in second at 3/4 throttle, 22 seconds in third with 1/3 throttle (this one is a tight window....get a stopwatch and watch those RPM) , another minute in 4th at 1/4 throttle, and then 3 straight minutes in 5th gear at full throttle! Don't worry about it bouncing off the rev limiter...keep that throttle pinned!

Not only will the popping sound go away, but the odometer will start scrolling through 111111, 222222, 333333, etc.; the lights flash intermittently; and finally pair of Pokemon dolls will launch from the exhaust pipes at a great velocity. Put some cardboard up or you might dent the garage door.

Shhh...don't tell anybody else. I have my pair of Pikachus proudly displayed in the garage. Skooters are even cooler looking since he has an '04 and it was the Palkia character. Nobody has gotten the dolls out of '09 or '10 as far as I know....maybe you can post pics and we can trade!

NOS...epic.

Wasn't there also a guy that had a unique turbocharging concept for his car... I'll see if I can find it.

Good possibilities for this thread...

Ionbeam's extra very dry humor while providing meaningful and helpful technical assistance is always entertaining. I'll see if I can dig up one or ten.

I'm totally BUMMED! I had a great one from the anal annals of this very forum regarding our good pal pgrhodes1. I went to search for the post and link it up and..... No dice! The searches for members content only goes back to December 16, 2009!!! AAAGHHHHHHH!!!!

Admin's please help resurrect the one or two infamous Dogpile Monday posts form the one and only pgrhodes. I believe around the September 15, 2009 time frame. :D

Gawd yes! I was just telling Tyler about that thread last weekend.

She missed it 1st time around

It saddens me to know some of you folks laugh at others misfortune/ineptitude here.. Remind me never to PWI.

:****:

Frankenthread, otherwise known as "Going to the Dark Side." This thread went to NEPRT quickly, and then when an admin decided it was interesting, it was brought back from the dead - perhaps a unique status in the anals (sic) of the forum. Originally posted about 750 days ago, it has grown to 87 pages, and it averages more than two posts per day. Some guys have 10% of their total posts dedicated to this thread. No matter what day you take a look at the list of 'today's posts' you'll find this thread on the list. It would appear to be the most important subject ever spawned here.

It gave the OP a chance to be #1 at something.

Its given many others a chance to think of themselves as great scientific investigators while showing total contempt for any actual principles of science or safety.

One poster who had been previously sane enough to observe that the idea took the Sport out of Sport Touring is now thinking seriously about the reverse of the old Tarryton motto 'I'd rather switch than fight'.

At least no known parties have been 'harmed in the experiment.' Until then, its humorous to watch it grow.

I went back and read it all like Neil did. O-M-G! I'm still cryin'! Barb by far had the best quote on the original thread, Page 9, Post #175. Oh man! She never disappoints. ;)
Y'know, whenever "The Girls" get involved any thread is going to be entertaining. Barb, MEM. Tyler and Silver Penguin have all (each) entertained us and we'd be less without their participation and the way they enjoy themselves while keeping the rest of us on our toes.

I couldn't find the thread about it on this forum. I'm disappointed by the new one year search window here!
It defaults to that, but you can easily click on little snowflaky thing next the green magnifying glass and search whatever time frame you want. Just found material myself easily from 2005.

Thank you Walt, for bringing this priceless gem back for another look see; Truly Brilliant! The Court Recorder will now read this back in B. Clark versus FJR Forum:

"Okay time to "call the ball here" Bud yer a feckin troll Peeps gave you a mile and ya still keep fukin..

Busts advice? go be a ****** dumb **** in a forum where repeated limp dik questions call on a thesaurus to initiate a simple response to dumb **** questions ...........

Oh ****.. did my response make a lick of sense?

Ya fecking *******! What I wouldn't give to see you and pgrhodes1 on "Dancing With The Stars"! You and our Miss Peggy would be a Match Made in Heaven, or Hell!

That search engine is awesome! I searched for and found a post from 2006 and the one and only result returned was the thread I searched for!

Thank you!
