West Coast AMA races

Next couple AMA races are on the West coast. Any of our west coast members have plans to attend?

When you go, ck out the Duc's, look at the clutch plate after practice, qualifying and races! amazing!! beautiful shade of blue--almost matches the 05 fjr--now that's some heat!!

I'm trying to persuade my better half to express interest in going to the races in Fontana, but no detectable interest yet. :detect: What's the layout of the track there? From what I've read it's interesting, but lacks any elevation changes. Big surprise, given that it's primarily an oval-track venue (ho hum). :eh:

I've rooted around a bit, but can't find times for the three (?) races scheduled for Saturday & Sunday. Is anything out there? I'm sure I'll never talk her into an all day venture, but a few hours would be great.

The infield course is very viewable hence neat to watch the racers. These guys have huge brass gnads... I forget the turn, but just after a tight right hander, they hit the gas hard into a right/left chicane. Most hit the curbing and the front goes up - they never get off the gas!

When they are on the oval's front straight, the speed and passing are insane!

I just get the gen admission and wonder around. Good midway, too. Food sucks, so you may wanna brown bag it.

I've been busy lately, and just found out about the Fontana results... holy crap! Spies is for real. He had an accident last year, I think, that put Ben in the hospital for 6 weeks. I guess he's back. B)

It's good for the Superbike class, IMHO, that Matt doesn't run off with the race each time.

Noooo! I picked a business meeting in Costa Mesa and will be travelling back from there while they are racing! Oh well, at least I have an excuse to ride the bike a long way.

I went to Sears Point today and watched it rain. I'm hoping that we have better luck tomorrow. I did see a couple of FJR's heading for the track on my way home. Anyone from here?
