Western N. Carolina riders group?

The ST owners club is very active in WNC and gets together to ride roughly once a month for day rides, and several weekend events each year, much like SFO, EOM, etc.

Is there a informal group of FJR owners who get together for day rides occasionally in WNC?

If not, are there any of you out there who'd like to get together and compare notes (roads!) ?

I ride down to Asheville for lunch on a regular basis. I'm usually all up in them mountains what separate our states.

There are a few people that frequent that area. I like to travel the area every now & then myself... not as far down as Asheville, though. That's getting a little too far for me to do in a weekend. Mostly, I'd be traveling the area north of there... or the Shady Valley area in TN. Would definitely be up for catching up sometime. I do believe that there is no set group in NC, though. Let a sista' know if you're cruising the area in the future.

SnP: Yesterday afternoon I took a run up NC-80 to 197 headed for Erwin on 395. Had to cut it a little short as it was getting dark and the boss wanted me home, but fun nonetheless.

SnP: Yesterday afternoon I took a run up NC-80 to 197 headed for Erwin on 395. Had to cut it a little short as it was getting dark and the boss wanted me home, but fun nonetheless.

That's a great ride, but I suggest riding it the other direction. Come up either 19 or 23 into Erwin, the over the mountain onto 197. I don't know why, but it's a lot better ride in that direction.

I'm up in the Boone area quite a bit ( live in Jacksonville, FL ) and am always looking to ride. I know those mountain roads pretty well but am willing to explore new ones others may know about. Come springtime, let's get those of us that are available and do some serious riding.

I just had contact with a couple of these guys in my home area recently. I'm gone a lot and don't get to the site often. Hope to meet up with some before too long. Seems to be a good crew in the east TN/ west VA area.

Kingsport. Looks like we are neighbors. Had the bike (05) for two years but have been an infrequent visitor to the website. Looks like I have been missing lots of good stuff.
