Anything going to the Nebo Loop is not going to work unless they get this sucker out.

So far, that is the only one I know of. It is only a day or two old. I seriously doubt it will be out in time

Ride #2 seems to be the only effected by the fire.

AS luck would have it this is one of the rides I was going to go on with everyone. I can fix the route so if you are planning on this ride, stay the course and lets see what I can come up with....... Kevin... Any input??

Salt Creek Canyon orad in the middle of that Google Earth shot (zooming way in) is the Nebo Loop.... I shall do some pondering

Cdogman - maybe this has been said, but not by me. Thanks for the updates and the research you're doing on this stuff for those of us coming in from out of the immediate area. It is nice to have an inside man.

My plan for arriving in PC on Thursday the 26th is via Hwy 89 from the south. Am I going to need to plan a different route? Is travel on NB Hwy 89 affected?

Hate to hear about the new fire, I was planning on riding up from Torrey on Thursday and hitting that road (Nebo loop) on my way to Park City. Guess I'll have to slab it up 15...

I'm avoiding that piece of the I-15 slab by taking hwy 89 instead.

Is Us 191 north bound out of AZ towards Park City a scenic route and a good road up to Moab and Price, etc.?? Heading to WFO on 24, overnight at Cameron AZ prior to UT. Appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

No Dont slab it. There is a better way

Take 24 NW from Torrey, You will hit 70, Jog east a 7.7 miles.

North on 28 to Gunnison 15.7 Miles

Then take 89 North.

That will be more fun for you

I am doing a very small part compared to many here
Don't get down on yourself, Cdog...we forgive you, seeing as how you're buying the first two rounds for everyone when we arrive. Gotta love the "locals".

Turbo!

191 North through Utah is pretty good, fast, and scenic.

You'd do well on 191.

Now to figger out how Gun gets that beericon going.

Thanks Cdog, but what i stated might have been a bit misleading...

I'm stopping in Torrey Wednesday night, because last year on my way to Reno, I did 12 down through Boulder and Escalante to Bryce late in the day, and want to do it earlier when I'm not staring into the sun and tired. Once I get to 89 North of Hillsdale, I planned on taking that northward... until it hits 70, and then following a trail similar to what you mentioned above. The only difference now, is that I was going to run Nebo, but will just stick on 89 instead. It still only works out to less than 400 miles that day, so I should be able to enjoy the ride and arrive at Park City relatively early.
