Hello Canadian brothers and sisters. Thought it was about time to start getting an idea who was coming from Canada or intending to come. There was some thought of meeting up prior to entering Reno and make our presence known. Making this a truly international rally.

So have at 'er and let's see what we come up with.

There's thread on this on Fjrowners

Canuks going to WFO

Talk of meeting North and riding down.

I'll see you there but I have to pick the wife up from Las Vegas and hooked up with another group from Vegas to Reno

Chris

I'm booked. It remains to be seen whether I join the 'gang' in BC or meet part way.

Kasey

I will be at rally in Oliver, BC the week before. I plan to go over Crowsnest pass and into Pincher Creek. From there will drop into the States, Glacier NP and work my way South to Reno.

Longrider

Going to ride down from Ontario.....thinking about doing the IBA 1500 in 36 hours on the way....plan on leaving on the 22nd of July....booked in Reno for the night of the 26th....anyone want to meet the morning of the 27th & ride in together?....or....?

I'm signed up.

Bringing along another FJR rider.

Likely leave Wednesday afternoon and return for work Wednesday.

I'm signed up, still waiting for the hotel code though. Talking to Moneill on the FJROwners.com site about perhaps going across from Victoria to Port Angeles on the Coho Ferry and down the west side of Puget Sound.

Dwavey, then you will be going right by me. I was thinking the same route to Olympia, maybe hook up with some from Vancouver. I was planning on leaving Tuesday Mark. Who you bringing with ya?

Hey Rocketdoc, the more the merrier. Booked into the hotel and raring to go. If you're planning to leave Tuesday when are you planning to arrive in Reno? I was thinking leaving on Wednesday and getting into Reno mid-aft on Thursday but another day to play in Reno may not be all that bad, even if I'm going to have a few play days in Vegas in a couple of weeks.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fly a Cdn flag on the bike?

My thoughts on the Tuesday departure are just to give the trip a more relaxed pace. The heat in July can limit your daily mileage considerably. Riding with a group always makes it a little slower. If we are into the Reno area a day early, we can roll over to Lake Tahoe to cool off and scout out some of the day rides.

As far as flying the flag goes the easiest is paper on the inside of the windscreen.

Dwavey, interested in meeting for coffee some night, maybe at Serious Coffee the south end of Mill Bay?

How about a Sunday ride? I'll call Terry (another Vic rider going to WFO) and see if he's interested.

PM me for phone #.

BUMP,

Time to get some details organized. If you are going to WFO and are interested in meeting up to ride into Reno together, please email me and include your email address. This will permit easier co ordination.

Emailing from the forum page does not give me your return email address, and a list of the Canucks coming would be helpful.

Someone PM'd with a good suggestion for meeting place, and ?time? seems it was lost in the last hack job.

Cheers amigos.

John
