If one had to guestimate traveling oh, say 600 miles a day to the site, and 600 miles a day returning from the site of WFO. And let's (for the sake of argument) indicate your starting point was southwest Oregon, how many days vacation should one request to attend such a gathering? Just asking ... ;)

Let's do the math.

600 miles on the FJR is only about 9 or 10 hours on this supersport touring steed we own if you put your mind to it.... so not really a big factor when estimating vacation time. ;)

But suppose you were to go about that particular distance from Roseburg...you could make it to Elko, NV.....Monterey, CA.......Whistler, BC....or Twin Falls, ID. I think it might be safe to guess the location is somewhere within those ranges for 'ya...but very likely not any one of those specific places.

Although, Elko would fit the "Elk" thing well and start a good rumor.....

.....You got me!

Truth is beerme invited us all to stay in his basement and offered to organize run speed runs on I-80 to Wells and back. His colleagues in blue will be offering $5 charity donations to radar record your speed at MP 333 and report back the winner at the Saturday banquet at IHOP. Highest speed wins a $200 gift certificate to Donna's Ranch in Wells. Gratuity not included. :)

Basement accomodations, a return visit to Wells? Elk thrown into the mix? I'm in! Maybe I'll take extra time and join the CBA......

Sounds like a good time...Trees, twisty roads and fresh air, now where exactly did you say it was again?
West Richland. Where else do you have the combination of those three in such abundance as this motorcycling mecca?

Good one Iggy, not buying it.

Those trees wouldn't happen to be really TALL would they? Like taller than any other tree species?

It's winter and I'm doing a lot of daydreaming about where to go this year.
