2 black

also a green and red i think.

which two wires go in the the whit

and the green fitting

thx but can't see the color of the wires in each fitting

are the two black in the white connector

Don't know about the '05, but here's a pic of the 06'

Check the manual, but IIRC:

Dark Green Shell is Fuel Pump, Wires are R/L (Red/Blue) and B (Black)

White Shell is the Fuel Sender, Wires are G/W (Green White) and B (Black)

It won't go/start if you put them on wrong......ditto for the fuel lines. Experience knows.

however wonder why someone with an 05 has not had five min to spare to lift the tank and confirm this.....

oh well... starting to lose interest in the posting of things here anyway......

They may be the same '05 > '06. Check the Yamaha-Motor.com parts and see if the fuel pump is the same part number -- if it is -- good chance the wiring harness hasn't chaged either.

'05 FJR ABS Fuel Pump part number: 5JW-13907-10-00

Looks like the base part number is the same, different dash number.

G/W & B/W are the sender

R/B & B are fuel pump

The FSM doesn't call out the Gen I fuel pump & sending unit connector bodies by color. FWIW, on the Gen IIs the fuel pump is the green connector.
