yeah...I rode to work today too. Rained on the way in...but it's sunny now, and I only have another hour and 40 minutes left till I leave.

I did some custom exhaust work last night... as in reinstalling the OEM pipes. The Beowulfs went down the road. We have figured out we prefer stealth. All went well, so I cracked a Cold Smoke Scottish Ale and wiped some finger prints off the factory cans. As I wheeled it back into place up against the garage wall, it seemed to make contact quite prematurely... WTF?! I took a second look, the mufflers were way flared out! DOH! I had installed the mufflers' hangers to the OUTBOARD of the bike frame hangers! )IY*(&^#$%!! Just need to get my head out of my *** and into the game sometimes. 10 minutes later and all was well. But here's how REALLY stupid I am: I told my wife what I had done.

We were over in VT doing a little food shopping on Thursday, buying 10 lbs of assorted cheese from the Cabot outlet, 4 lbs of maple cured bacon from Green Mt Smokehouse, and a gallon of nectar of the wood from Stuart and John's Sugar House on the way home. So, we stopped by our son's place in Hartland and I got to visit my old, (now his new) Bass Bote Blue Beauty. Looks pretty darned good in his garage.

By the way, for dinner we drove up to Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock. Great beer lineup, and the burgers are truly worthy. Add that to the RTE destination list. ;)

I rode it to work today...a whole 19 miles each way. Does that earn me any CBA cred?
Rode it to work today....a whopping 25 miles each way. I guess I qualify for the IBA?

I topped up my coolant and tire pressure. I rode to the UW and used the machine shop at my old lab to make bushings for my new patio furniture. Then I rode up to Mukilteo and took the ferry to Whidbey Island. Went to Freeland, Useless Bay, and back onto the ferry at Clinton. Then I rode to Everett to see my daughter and from there, home. I am the wind.

I rode my New '15ES home from the dealer. Man what a huge step up in technology from my '03.

The dealer was only offering 3k for my '03 so I decided to keep it for friends to ride when they come over.

I felt the same way about my fully farkled, and cross country ready (and tested) '05 last year.

So I "sold" it to my son instead. He got a heck of a great deal. But that's what Dads do.

(PS - when would be a good time for me to "come over"? )

Thanks. I'd love to ride around Idaho some. Almost made it that far last year but we stopped short in MT.

Need to make another venture that way soon.

Too much to see and do. Not enough time.

In another couple of years, when I retire, we'll have the time but not enough money
