Well, having unintentionally joined the drop club, I now have some opportunities to add farkles that would otherwise require removal of the cowling. I've done all the installation of spare power cables, and am going to do a horn upgrade (with FJRandy's harness). Any other things to consider?

Here's what I identified as potential candidates:

1. HID headlight conversion

2. FZ1 mirrors

3. Windshield auto-return (disengage)

So Hudson, you going to fill us in on your findings so far? Hope it's not as $$$ as you originally described.

Escape, the tally so far:

Spent:

New Cowling: $125

FZ1 Mirrors to replace stockers: $46 x2

HID kit for front headlights: $125

FJRandy horn harness: $44

Lunch for Achiu who gave up a Sun. a.m. to help: $12

Honda HP coolant to flush/fill rads while I got the plastic off: $15

Dialectric grease: $5

Reroute wires for fuse block: free

Planned/Considering:

Repaint bag (Garauld): $80 + shipping

or

Rhino Liner for scratched area on bags (and same to match other side): $30 plus elbow grease

HID Aux lights/brackets: $240-400

Fiamm or similar horn upgrade: $20-40

Another lunch for Achiu when I have to put it all back together:$12

replace lost N/Line lock washer that rolled off into the weeds: $1

Not replacing:

teenie tiny scratch on the right side exhaust

teenier tinier imperceptible scratch on brake lever

entire N/Line shelf just because I lost a lockwasher, even though the new one looks cool

friends like Achiu and the rest of the PNW crew, who are always ready to lend a hand

I have an extra nut and washer..does this bump my lunch to $13.00??

Sounds like the damage was minimal, that's good. At least you don't have to worry about color matching the Rhino Liner... ;) and I see there's more going on than damage repair.

I agree that we have great bunch of hooligans up here! So when's the K1300S coming home...j/k.

Dude. Can you list out some of those who intentionally joined the drop club?

Dude, you get any more farkles for it will take you for ever to get ready to ride. So no more plug in stuff.

How about one of those grounding harness's for the ground spiders?

I might be interested in watching that cowling go back on.
