What do you use for a Radar Detector Plug for audio with Starcom?

I just bought an Escort X50 and figured my Ipod cord would work from my Radar to my Starcom. I can barely hear the Radar so something is not right. If I unplug the Ipod cord just a little bit you can hear it fine so I am wondering what the problem is? Am I using the wrong type of cord from Radar to Starcom? Help.

Yes. You need a special one, isolated or some such. Contact your Starcom vendor for the right one.
