Looking to buy some over the calf boot socks for warm to hot weather. Anyone make any recommendations on brand and where to purchase. Thanks

Silver weave sock liners from your local back-country hiking or hunting store. They are thin, breath well, fight odor/bacteria buildup, wick moisture away, and the list goes on. Some like these

You may have to hunt to find over the calf height.... most of what I wear are meant for use in hiking boots, but my LDRyder tights meet the sock to eliminate any exposed skin rubbing on the boot.

The wife and I both ride wearing TechSox (Clicky)

If you're on a road trip (we've been on the road for 7 days now for CFR) ya can wash 'em in the hotel sink.

They have different lengths, styles and colors.

Sorry, OM, not in red, though.

Due to a medical problem I often wear support hose, the kind you buy at Walmart pharmacy section. They work well for motorcycling.

thin - don't hold heat

wash easily and dry quick

not hot

cost around $8/pair

help prevent blood clots (for us old geezers)

only two colors - dark blue and black

BMW socks is what I use.

Beemer Socks

I know... BMW!

Just got back from a week long trip and I used REI's Merino Wool Light Hiker II socks. They did not stink and were comfortable even after wearing them for two days straight.

REI

SOKZ (clicky) I wear the Arrow soks in the summer . . . the Ceramic socks are great in colder weather . . . I was a bit skeptical at first, especially about the Ceramics but after a late fall trip through Maine, Upper Vermont, & New Hampshire I'm a believer and won't wear anything else. A little pricey but the quality and persormance is hard to beat.
